Come join RASDak President Kasey Abbott and his wife Karla for an opportunity to bike, hike, canoe, horseback ride, or just kick back and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Enjoy a long weekend of riding in the Black Hills during peak color, then kick back each night at the beautiful Outlaw Ranch Retreat Center near Custer.

Lunches are on your own; we’ll stop in a nearby town each day.
Registration and Lodging Details
Registration fee is dependent on lodging type:
- $315 if staying in a cabin
- $350 if staying in the Retreat Center
- $380 if staying in the Lodge
- $215 if staying offsite
- $200 for children ages 3-11
Prices exclude SD sales tax and service fees.
Weekend Gravel Routes
Day 1 — Saturday, September 5th
Saturday September 5th we will be riding gravel roads south of Custer to Pringle and back.
Day 2 — Sunday, September 6th
Sunday September 6th we will be exploring gravel roads west of Custer.
Day 3 — Monday, September 7th
Monday September 7th we will head to the southeast of Custer.

All routes are primarily gravel and suitable for gravel or mountain bikes.
Sag will patrol each loop; lunch stops are planned in town.
What to Bring
- Bike: Gravel or mountain bike in good working order
- Tires: 38–45c gravel tires recommended (or wider for MTB)
- Essentials: Helmet, daytime lights, flat repair kit, two water bottles or hydration pack
- Layers: Mornings can be cool; pack a light shell and warm gloves
- Extras: Small lock for town stops, cash/card for lunch & coffee

- Sag vehicles: Our team offers course coverage and rider assistance
- Cue sheets & GPX: Provided for each distance option
- Road etiquette: Obey traffic laws; this is an open-road ride

Can I pick my roommates?
Much of the lodging is designated as family and there will be one family per room or cabin. If you are part of a group of 3 or more, then you are considered family!
What’s the weather like?
Cool mornings, mild afternoons, and high chance of gorgeous fall color. Pack layers and a light rain shell just in case.
